Ron ter Huurne - Director

Ron ter Huurne is an NZCE qualified engineer who enjoys using his knowledge and experience to find innovative solutions to customer's requirements.

In 1997 Ron bought the company Fence Steel along with the equipment to produce the patented Staplelok* farm fence post system. Following the domestic and international success of the Staplelok fencing system, Ron designed the unique Z47* vineyard post to be made on the same machine and developed a full range of accessories for both products.

Fence Steel also specialised in manufacturing residential and commercial steel fencing. Ron developed many systems to help produce these fences efficiently and gained a strong customer base that still calls on Ron for every fence they need.

Ron enjoys using his engineering and design skills to solve architectural problems and provide a consultation service to his customers.

In 2007 Ron changed the company name to Fence World to reflect increasing demand from customers for fences and gates in different materials such as stainless steel, aluminium and wood. He maintains a hands on role and is still personally involved in the production of every fence.
